Australian Suicide Toll

An open cockpit aircraft is the most liberating experience you could ever have. Want to own or fly in one ?

The custom built aircraft will be rated with a MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight of 440kgs, which will allow for cross-country passenger flights and boasts a 582cc Water-Cooled 2-Stroke engine and a 60 litre fuel tank.

This particular type is an Australian (Melbourne) design and with simplicity and safety in mind, it's a pleasurable way to fly. The parachute is designed to be virtually stall or spin resistant and in the case of an engine failure it simply lands safely just as a parachute would. It takes off from the ground with the parachute behind you.

You take off from flat and level ground either solo or with a passenger and the canopy inflates by creating thrust from the propeller, it then takes off from within as little as 20-30m.  The parachute is an APCO Ram Air canopy and is 550 sq. ft. made from rip-stop nylon.

To climb you simply accelerate and to descend you decelerate. Turning is controlled by using steering toggles (similar to parachutists).

There is navigation onboard as well as steering leavers so your arms don't have to be upright all the time. It has cruise control and electric start.
